Is there a Sanken-Hatz scholarship in your future?
The Sanken-Hatz scholarship is awarded annually to encourage and support students pursuing health care careers. It was established in memory of Carl Sanken, a farmer from the Biscay area, and Don Hatz, a farmer and postal clerk from the Glencoe area. Both remembered us in their wills with generous bequests to the Glencoe Regional Health Services Foundation.
Awards for the 2017-2018 academic (collegiate) year will be made in the spring of 2017 to qualified area high-school seniors and post-secondary students from the GRHS service area who are enrolled in approved health care careers.
Note: The application period for the 2017-2018 academic year has closed.

The scholarship committee makes the final decision about awards. Not all applicants will receive scholarships. The committee has the right to verify that the student is pursuing the stated career course. Scholarships are renewed annually, so students must re-apply each year. Current award amounts are $1,000 for high school seniors, $1,500 for post-secondary students and $2,000 for graduate students. Award amounts are subject to change based on available funds.
