The lovely and graceful sculpture, “River of Life,” courses along the main hallway in the hospital in Glencoe, recognizing and celebrating the generous benefactors of the Glencoe Regional Health Services Foundation.
Why a river?
The river sculpture, designed by Dave Koechel and crafted by artist Tom Pinske of Plato, symbolizes the energy and essence of life itself. Rivers bring people together, take us into new territory, sustain and nurture surrounding land and people, and create community.
A river’s strength and dependability also symbolize, for us, our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve.
Become part of the River of Life
Foundation gifts fund scholarships and health care initiatives in the region. We look for new avenues of service during times of prosperity and times of economic uncertainty.
If you would like to remember the Foundation in your will or make a donation in honor of family or friends, we hope you’ll consider becoming part of the Foundation’s River of Life. Donors are recognized with engraved plates on elements of the River of Life sculpture:
