State-of-the-art rehabilitation services
Many orthopedic conditions – regardless of whether surgery is part of the treatment plan – will benefit from physical therapy and/or occupational therapy. These services can reduce pain and improve mobility, balance, range of motion and endurance for a quicker recovery and return to normal daily activities. Our patients receive therapy in a $4.1 million state-of-the-art rehabilitation department located on the new third floor of our Glencoe hospital. It features dedicated gyms and treatment rooms with the latest equipment for adult and pediatric physical therapy, as well as new treatment rooms and functional spaces for occupational therapy. Patients who undergo certain orthopedic surgeries, such as a joint replacement, may begin therapy during their recovery in the hospital and continue as an outpatient after discharge.
