Glencoe Regional Health Services offers laser treatments that remove or reduce unwanted hair, spider veins, shaving bumps and facial wrinkles. Safe and effective on all skin types, laser treatment can improve the appearance of skin on the face, legs, back, underarm and bikini area.
How it works
A laser is a narrow beam of light, or, more technically, electromagnetic radiation. The Laserscope device used at GRHS sends a targeted beam of energy through the skin, where it transforms into heat that destroys the target — a hair follicle, surface vein or wrinkle — without harming the surrounding tissues. Laser treatments have been a widely accepted method of skin surface enhancement since the mid-1990s.
Laser treatment at GRHS
At GRHS, all laser evaluations and treatments are provided by two physicians with special training in laser procedures:
In an initial consultation with you, the physician will evaluate your skin and recommend the appropriate procedure and number of treatments needed for
the desired result. The length of each laser treatment session depends on
the area being treated, but usually ranges from 15 to 45 minutes. Sessions
will be spaced according to the unique requirements of your treatment goal.
