Breastfeeding support

Breastfeeding support is available for new moms and moms-to-be.

Breastfeeding education and support is conveniently available before and after the birth of your child.

Before baby arrives
GRHS provides breastfeeding education as a part of our Best Beginnings prenatal classes. We recommend that all first-time mothers and their partners take the class. Expectant mothers who’ve taken the prenatal course in the past are welcome to join us for a refresher session on breastfeeding. For more information, visit our prenatal class page.

Your GRHS health care provider is also an excellent resource for information on breastfeeding. In addition, we are pleased to provide free, online access to our breastfeeding education book below:

At the birthing center
Your Best Beginnings Birthing Center nurse will help you establish breastfeeding and monitor your progress throughout your hospital stay.
